Web Design: I enjoy just relaxing and making my stake in cyberspace.

Writing: I really enjoy to write. I picked up the passion during my first year of college with a professor named Reverend Bob, who wasn't preacher and talked like a sailor. He taught me that writing isn't about the grammar and punctuation, but the feeling and passion one places behind the words and changing them from letters into feelings. I write a weekly in season column on PezCyclingNews.com and freelance whenever I can.

Reading: I am big fan of the Dune series by Frank Herbert. His compelling and complicated story of the planet Dune inquires into economic, environmental, religious and social structures of life. My favorite idea from the books is how people are a product of their environment and the pressures of that society. I also enjoy novels by Ayn Rand and her Objectivism approach to life, the idea that Man contains within himself all that is needed for success in life.

Photography: I like being behind the camera and capturing life in split second intervals. Each picture is a freeze frame of life, forever giving us a link to our past and capturing moments for generations to come. I would like to continue my passion for photography after I finish up my cycling career.

Movies: Who doesn't love movies. The good ones will take your mind off of everything going on around you and pull you in and you forget your are even at the movies. You become part of the movie. I personally like comedies the best and there is nothing better than falling out of your seat laughing. Kevin Smith is by far my favorite director and all his movies rule.

Electric Cars: Just recently I really go into the idea of making an electric car. My plan is to conver my 280z Datsun into an all-electric (no internal combustion motor) car which can go at least 70 miles (110km) on one charge. Combined with my planned solar pannel instalation, this should lead to very cheap driving!

I guess I will start at the beginning, it seems like a good place.

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lived there for about two years and then moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. The Big Easy, New Orleans, was a great place because of the people, the most friendly neighbors around. After 10 years in New Orleans I moved to Houston, Texas during the summer between 6th and 7th grade. This was when I got into cycling.

How I started cycling? It's an interesting story. When I moved to Houston it was right before school started, so we stayed with my Uncle for a couple of days to find a house to rent. While there me and my brother were fighting and my Uncle decided to take us out to the Alkek Velodrome to wear off some of the energy we had. I didn't know what to expect, but once I saw the velodrome, I knew it was something I would like to do and from then on I was hooked.

After racing in Texas during my youth I made my first trip to Belgium in 2002 where I spent two years racing as an amateur. In 2004 I turned professional with the Flanders Pro Cycling team and spent two years with them. I returned to the pro peloton after a year off in 2007 with the Klaipeda Cycling team. In 2008 I stopped racing and focused on starting my two current businesses. This first is a full service cycling tour company, Chainring Tours with the other being a long term accomodation for cyclists, The ChainStay. I also do freelance work, both written and photographic, in my spare time.
